  2. Then choose the Windows 7 version you installed (32 or 64-bit), expand the LAN drivers and choose the newest driver.
  3. That fixed the problem.It turned out that my internet security suite was not allowing my laptop to access my desktop.
  4. Even adjusting advanced sharing permission does not solve it, nor does dumping, re-creating, and re-joining the homegroup.
